Early morning harvesting meant chilled grapes processed immediately, with some skin contact while in the press, then classic no frills cool fermentation. Decidedly pale blush pink, as much as any skin-contacted pinot gris; the bouquet of talc and rose petal is replayed on the crunchy, dry palate. The new label recalls the decision by Wynns many years ago to modernise artist Richard Beck’s timeless woodcut label - a travesty.
