“Sourced from the Pfaffenberg, this third annual Undhof exercise in fermentation with skin contact in amphorae was suffering a bit under pre-bottling sulfur when I last encountered it in June 2016. But it was brightly citric, tartly appley and strikingly saline, almost briny, making for an energetic finish that really milks the salivary glands. The feel is glossy but with underlying firmness, with stoniness and hints of iodine adding intrigue.” 90-91+ points, David Schildknecht
